  1. Mōrena Ebony,

Congratulations on finishing the Summer Learning Journey! We have loved seeing you put in so much effort into participating and providing great quality posts that we and your peers have enjoyed reading. Don’t forget that you can get extra points by posting meaningful, thoughtful and positive comments on any other bloggers post!

These are some really legitimate ideas that you have come up with. A lot of people don’t actually put the rubbish in the right bin, which means that some biodegradable items (living things that can be broken down by bacteria) aren’t actually getting broken down. Another good idea, picking up 1 piece of rubbish a day. Imagine if everyone in New Zealand did this? We would be a mean and clean New Zealand, that’s for sure!

Well done on comparing and contrasting the Kiwi, Kakapo & Piwakawaka! You have given us some really interesting facts that I didn't know for example Kakapo live for 95 years, that sure is a long time for a bird. Can you please explain what the word ‘endemic’ means? I am sure your peers would love to learn more!

That is awesome that you have learnt so much about the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Yes we have been so busy getting to all your comments, but it makes us so happy and proud that we have so many people in New Zealand taking charge of their learning! Thank you for letting us know your concerns, it is really important that we take on board what you guys struggled with so we can make it bigger and better for the end of this year! Awesome work, I think you are on your way to really helping the environment!

You have done some awesome work Ebony :) I hope you are proud, the Kaikohekohe team sure are.

    ngā mihi,
    Georgia E

  2. Hi Ebony,

Firstly, congratulations on finishing the Summer Learning Journey! I hope you are very proud of yourself as I know all the Kaikohekohe commenting team are. We have loved reading and commenting on your work throughout the summer and I am so happy that you decided to join us again this year.

One thing we did notice when calculating your points was that we can't seem to find your week 3, day 2's activities. Have you done the "bee informed", "carbon sinks don't stink" and "flying fungi" activities? If not, we'd love to be able to award you the maximum points with activities so would you be able to go back and complete this day of activities?

Please let me know if you need any clarification or help!

Again, ka pai on your mahi this summer. You are awesome Ebony :-)
    Cheers, Georgia.
