General statement

Eels in maori is tuna. A longfins scientific name is anguilliformes. Did you know that eels can live up to 60 years before spawning and dying.

Appearance

Eels are quick big long creatures they are known to be a big part of the predator family. Eels are a bit hard to catch because they swim fast and they are slippery.

Diet

Eels like to eat small foods like squid , invertebrates, crustaceans, shrimp ,crayfish, crabs and sea urchins.

Habitat

Eels often live in lakes , ponds and streams. Under big plants and rocks. Most eels live in the shallow waters of the ocean.

Closing statement

Eels are slippery long creatures they are fast swimmers and they live in streams sometimes they hide under rocks and plants to be camuflashed.  How long is a female longfin ?

General statemant
