Summer learning journey: Day 5

  1. Kia Ora Ebony,

I think you have made a great point about logging in New Zealand. We need the materials from the trees to make a range of different products that we need. I hope as a country we work towards more sustainable logging practises. Things such as planting areas that have been logged, that way they can come back when the trees are fully grown and log those trees as well!

You have made a great start on your letter. Have you decided who you would like to write it to? I think if I visited a Tundra I would send a letter to my mum or my sister, Katie. In order for me to award you with the full points for this activity, you need to write at least 6-8 sentences in your letter. Would you be able to edit the slides to finish your letter?
Otherwise you can post it in the comments as well. Let me know when you have finished your letter so I can give you the full points :)

New Zealand is a beautiful country isn’t it. It’s great that we have now banned single use plastic bags in our supermarkets. Did you know that just for Countdown Supermarkets, we were using 350 million plastic bags! That means we have already saved almost 2,500 plastic bags from being used, just in the first seven days of 2019. The task has asked you describe life here in New Zealand. Would you be able to add some more details to your post. That way it will paint a better picture for people. You could mention why you enjoy living in New Zealand. I love living in New Zealand because we have some many beautiful beaches for everyone to explore.

Let me know when you have changed your slides and I will come and have a read. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani
