Word art speech

For the past few weeks in English we have been writing speech about ( A community issue, A school issue or someone we admire) in this case I chose a community and school issue which is smoking, I tried to pick a topic that I had no idea how to write about so it was a little bit challenging.  I really enjoyed writing my speech and saying it first on Friday.

Here is a poster I made about my speech:)

T.A.C.O

Today we have been learning about different types of tenses ( past, present and future ) . In Te reo Maori we had to write sentences using the three tenses, We used a thing called TACO which stands for tense, action, character and object. The easy part was knowing the sentence structure and knowing how to write it how I wanted it. The hard part was trying not to have the same sentence as others. Next time I want to try and use other actions instead of haere and use better vocab.

Well we were there we  learnt about rips, beach safety and what we should and shouldn't do on the beach.  My favourite part was when we got to get in the water. My least favourite part was when we had to leave.

Problem solving

Today we have been learning how to do 100 times tables using problem solving.  The hard part was understanding where to put the zero's. The easy part was finding an answer. My next step is to learn how to times by 1000's.

Sc:

  •  add right to left start at ones column
  • When times by 10 add one zero ( into the ones column )
  • When times by 100 add two zero's ( into the ones and tens column )
