Surf lifesavings

Last week on Wednesday Nga Rau Tipuranga,  Nga Rau Rangatira and a few kids from room 16 went to the surf lifesavings in Ruakaka. Well we were there we  learnt about rips, beach safety and what we should and shouldn't do on the beach.  My favourite part was when we got to get in the water. My least favourite part was when we had to leave.

Did you know that this year marks the 250 year since the Europeans came to New Zealand? For the past two days we have been spending our days at Waitangi treaty ground learning about the past when the Europeans came to NZ. 

My favourite part was when we got to play with the dash robots, VR goggles and the museum.

My least favourite part was finding the right app to use to talk about my learning. 

Floating and sinking

For the last week we have been building boats for our floating and sinking project. The easy part was knowing what materials I was going to use. The hard part was putting my boat together.

Past & Present

For the past few weeks we have been learning about Taumarere what happened in the past and present. The easy part was knowing what happened in the present. The hard part was finding more information on what happened in the past

Matariki Activity's

For the past two days through out the school we have been doing Matariki activity's. My activity was a gardening. On Monday we had to get our garden ready for the winter so we were harvesting the crops and pulling out all the weds. On Tuesday we made soup and built little Pataka out of sticks and flax because on Friday we are going to present a slide in front of the school showing them what we have been learning.

Camp

Last week the year 5 & 6 went on camp at Marsden bay christian camp in Whangarei it took us 1 hour to get to the camp ground. My favorite part about camp was going on the flying fox because it has been shut down for 2 years. I  liked camp this year I had so much fun with my friend doing archery siting by the fire pit eating marshmallow playing spot light I had so much fun !!!!!!

End of term 2 2017

Today is the last day of school and I am so happy that I accomplished my maths goal because I learnt how to do times tables. Next term I will learn division.I enjoyed this term with my teacher and class :)

Project energise
